Disney’s Aladdin at Dr. Phillips Center
Wishes do come true as Disney’s Aladdin soars into the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Presented by FAIRWINDS Broadway in Orlando, the hit Broadway musical will share the exciting and humorous tale of lovable “street rat” Aladdin, courageous Princess Jasmine, and larger-than-life Genie. Central Florida locals and visitors can experience the magic of the beloved Disney film live on stage January 22–February 9, 2020.
A Breathtaking Live Production
Filled with unforgettable beauty, timeless comedy, and stunning spectacle, the thrilling theatrical event from the producer of The Lion King musical boasts extraordinary sets and costumes that bring the enchanting world of Agrabah to life. In addition to choreography by Tony Award–winning director Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon), the show also features the same treasured soundtrack written by eight-time Academy Award®–winning composer Alan Menken (Newsies), which fans will remember.
New and Beloved Songs
Fresh on the heels of the home video release of Disney’s 2019 Will Smith-starring, live-action, remake—that itself was based on their 1992 animated Robin Williams classic—the stage-version musical adaptation of Disney’s Aladdin features all of the films’ charming hit songs, including:
- “A Whole New World”
- “Friend Like Me”
- “Prince Ali”
Disney’s Aladdin also includes exclusive songs not found in the Walt Disney films. The new classics are composed by Menken and penned by legendary songwriters Howard Ashman (Beauty and the Beast) and Tony Award–winner Tim Rice (The Lion King).
Know Before You Go
Per Dr. Phillips Center policy, all persons entering the theater, regardless of age, must have a ticket. Guests can get a jump on the best seats in the house by purchasing The VIP Ticket Package which includes theater seats and two exclusive merchandise items.
Disney’s Aladdin proves that one lamp and three wishes can create a whole new world of infinite possibilities. While Disney on Broadway performances are suitable for general audiences, Disney recommends this production of Aladdin for guests ages six and up.
