Most classic rock fans jump at the chance to see a rock legend perform live, but what if they had the opportunity to see four of their favorite bands all on the same day? This Thursday, July 9 at 4:30 p.m. at Camping World Stadium, icons Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Poison, and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts will put on an all-star performance for a one-night-only special in Central Florida. Prepare to have your head banging for one of Orlando’s most anticipated concert events of the summer.
Liven up With Def Leppard
Throughout one unforgettable music career, Def Leppard has produced a series of ground-breaking albums that left an irreversible impression on rock history. Originating in the late 70s, this classic rock band innovated the heavy metal trend by tampering with gritty guitar riffs and dramatic melodies. Soon after Def Leppard started getting recognized around the rock music scene, the band took off in a series of successful peaks with their 1983 studio album, Pyromania, and 1992 album, Adrenalize.
Mosh to Mötley Crüe
For 38 years, Mötley Crüe has remained a household name in the rock-metal scene, and the band has recently developed a new fan base of young listeners following the release of Netflix’s biopic The Dirt. Forming in Los Angeles, California, this quartet became a quintessential rock group in the 80s due to their smashing studio albums such as 1985’s, Theatre of Pain, and 1989’s, Dr. Feelgood. Over the course of one mountainous music career, the group has received three GRAMMY Award nominations, landed a No. 1 album spot on iTunes, and obtained a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Party with Poison
From playing local shows in Pennsylvania to selling out arenas on international tours, Poison has continued to headline the hearts of rock fans with iconic pop-metal music. Formerly known as Paris, Poison took a chance on betting their luck in the music industry. Thanks to their early self-promotion and D.I.Y. advertising the band was able to sign with Enigma Records and release their 1986 debut album, Look What the Cat Dragged In. Soon after, Poison would go on to top the charts with records like “Cry Tough,” “I Won’t Forget You,” and “Talk Dirty To Me.”
Join Joan Jett & the Blackhearts
Before she founded Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Joan Jett was already in a leading role as a female pioneer in the world of rock music. Beginning her career at the age of 15, Jett joined the punk-rock band The Runaways and recorded hits like “California Paradise,” “Cherry Bomb,” and “Queens of Noise.” Afterward, she split her time to forming the indie label Blackhearts and committed herself to creating music opportunities for new artists.
