Maverick City Music & Kirk Franklin: The “Kingdom” Tour
Formed in 2018, Maverick City Music consists of a richly diverse blend of rotating musicians from genres such as rock, gospel, soul, and R&B. Their current line-up features a supergroup of talent including Chandler Moore, Dante Bowe, Naomi Raine, and Lizzie Morgan. On the “Kingdom” tour, the band will perform songs from their 2021 album, Old Church Basement, while sharing the stage with gospel legend Kirk Franklin.
Known for combining soulful hip-hop with gospel music, Kirk Franklin is a multi-Grammy Award-winning producer and songwriter. Over the years, he has collaborated with popular artists including the Jacksons, Kanye West, and Justin Timberlake. Now, Franklin is hitting the road with Maverick City Music to promote his 2020 album, LONG LIVE LOVE, which features his Billboard-charting single “Love Theory.” Following the tour, the two acts will co-release a new album titled Kingdom.

Juan Luis Guerra
Internationally acclaimed Latin artist Juan Luis Guerra’s music blends merengue, bachata, pop, and jazz. He began his music career in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic composing jingles for advertisements. Now, he is a three-time Grammy Award winner.
In the early 1980s, Guerra formed the group 440 (“Four Forty” or, in Spanish, “Cuatro Cuarenta”). The band gained popularity in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s with the success of their albums Ojalá Que Llueva Café and Bachata Rosa, the latter of which earned Guerra a Grammy Award. Bachata Rosa sold over 5 million copies and allowed Guerra to tour Latin America, Europe, and the U.S.
In 2007, the Latin Recording Academy named Guerra Person of the Year and the Dominican Senate named him the National Singer-Songwriter. You can catch the iconic Dominican performer live in Orlando on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 8 p.m.
