While Orlando may be most known for is its amusement parks, there are quite a few other activities to do when visiting the area. Many attractions are located right on International Drive, which allows you to experience endless amounts of fun all in one place. To help give you some ideas of the cool things you can do while on I-Drive, check out these five attractions.
Coca-Cola® Orlando Eye
Located in the heart of International Drive at I-Drive 360, the iconic 400-foot tall observation wheel allows you to see Central Florida like never before. Experience breathtaking views in all directions, while inside of a fully enclosed air-conditioned capsule. The Coca-Cola® Orlando eye is about a 23-minute experience and is excellent for all ages.
Titanic Exhibit
Many people have seen James Cameron’s 1997 epic blockbuster movie Titanic. The movie was the fifth highest grossing film in both Canada and the U.S., earning $1.8 billion worldwide, and scoring eleven Oscars. If you’re a fan of the movie, or just appreciate learning about historical events, you’ll enjoy Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition. Visitors can walk through full-scale recreations of famous Titanic rooms, such as the Grand Staircase, First Class Parlor Suite, Boiler Rooms, and Promenade Deck. The exhibit also showcases more than 400 artifacts and historical treasures.
Chocolate Museum & Café
The World of Chocolate Museum and Café is one of Orlando’s sweetest attractions where you can explore the fascinating history of how chocolate originated. Take a look at 25 solid chocolate sculptures constructed to replicate some of the world’s most famous landmarks and people. Hear about how chocolate is made and then head into the tasting room to sample some of the finest chocolates from around the world.
Gator Golf
If you’ve driven down I-Drive, you’ve undoubtedly seen Gator Golf Adventure Park. The 18-hole mini-golf course is one of the most unique miniature golf courses in Orlando. It’s home to a variety of animals you can see throughout your visit, including over two hundred alligators! Gator wrestling and feeding shows happen daily, and you can even feed live alligators of all sizes.
iFLY Indoor Skydiving
Ages three and up can try indoor skydiving through the simulation of real freefall in a vertical wind tunnel without a parachute, plane, or prior skydiving experience. Be literally blown away in this thrilling attraction as you float on a smooth column of air produced by vertical wind tunnel fans at the top, which draws air through the flight chamber, pushing it back down the sides through Return Air Towers (RATs).
