This holiday season, after gathering together and giving thanks with your family and friends, come out to celebrate Orlando’s cultural diversity at FusionFest. A celebration of the many cultures and people that make Central Florida extraordinary, FusionFest will take place the weekend after Thanksgiving at the Seneff Arts Plaza at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts and Orlando City Hall Commons in Downtown Orlando.
Bringing together people young and old from over 110 different cultures, this free, two-day festival will provide a welcomed opportunity to enjoy dancing, music, food, games, art, spoken word, and other outdoor activities on November 28 and 29, 2020.
A Visual Spectacle
FusionFest will provide you with the opportunity to witness a showcase of cultures. The festival will begin with an opening spectacle of a procession of flags, music, large-scale puppets, and colorful clothing walking down Magnolia Avenue to the festival grounds. The celebration will continue throughout the festival with three stages featuring music, dance, spoken word, and fashion. There will also be a screening of the MYgration films in partnership with the Global Peace Film Festival.
Participate in a New Thanksgiving Tradition
From interactive experiences to the fun and games station, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy with their friends and family. Be sure to enjoy all that Orlando’s FusionFest has to offer, including:
- The International Food Court and Marketplace
- Global Street Dance Party
- Diversitastic! Choir
- Community Panels
- Visual Arts Gallery
- Fusion Contests with cash awards
Since 2016, a committee of 40 members with heritages from around the world has met monthly to shape the festival, but the celebration goes beyond one weekend. FusionFest organizes monthly events to keep the community engaged and connected to the cultural diversity of Central Florida. From January to November, the committee creates dining experiences, hosts workshops, and participates in parades.
