Sizing up the Solar Bears Schedule

solar bears scheduleDon’t be fooled, because the 2019–2020 Solar Bears regular season is going to be anything but regular. Tackling old rivalries and tying up loose ends on the ice, the Solar Bears have a busy schedule to settle, and here’s everything fans need to know to prepare.

The Start of the Season
The Solar Bears start the season with two home games on October 12 and 18 against the South Carolina Stingrays and Norfolk Admirals. Then, the team heads to South Carolina on October 19 to confront the Stingrays in their home territory. To finish off the first month of the season, the Bears double back to Florida to take on rival Florida Everblades on October 26 at the Hertz Arena.

The Home Game Happenings
With eight home games in the month of November, the Solar Bears definitely have the Orlando advantage. Commencing the month with two Amway Center games against the South Carolina Stingrays and one against the Jacksonville Icemen, the Solar Bears head to the Hertz Arena for two matchups against the Everblades on November 6 and 8. The Bears bounce around the Sunshine State for four more games before hitting the road for three consecutive contests. Finally, Orlando closes out the month with three home games on November 26, 29, and 30.

The 2019 Close-Out
Hitting the ground running for the month of December, the Solar Bears host three home games before heading out for four rounds around the South. The Bears circle back to the Amway Center on December 17 to welcome the Kansas City Mavericks and hit the road to take on the Stingrays in their South Carolina stadium yet again. The Solar Bears will finish out the year with a December 31 game in the Hertz Arena against the Florida Everblades where they’ll resolve to successfully wrap up the year with a win.

The New Year’s Resolution
Home games on January 4, 5, and 6 bring the Bears right into 2020. The team then travels for six away games in cities such as Atlanta, Jacksonville, and North Charleston. Next, the Bears return home to challenge the Jacksonville Iceman and Greenville Swamp Rabbits before closing out the month with two more away games. Finally, the Solar Bears end the regular season with a 50/50 home and away split for the month of February with hopes of taking the puck all the way to playoffs.
