The Plaza Live Orlando is one of the oldest theaters in the state which also happens to have set its historic roots in the city. Coming this February are music legends from blues, pop, and rock, so make your way to the Plaza Live Orlando.

Tab Benoit

When you think of blues, this musician most likely comes to mind.

Tab Benoit has been a guitar player since he was a teenager and performed alongside living blues legends in Baton Rouge. The blues guitarist released his first recording named “Nice and Warm.” His first recording also happened to be his first major hit which launched Benoit’s music career. In his 30-year career, he has been nominated for a Grammy, won 5 Blues Music Awards, performed with music legends, and build a devoted fan base.

Life and Music of George Michael

George Michael is a famous British singer, songwriter, and record producer, and he’s also an important cultural figure in the music industry.

Michael created the band Wham! in 1979 with friend Andrew Ridgeley. In 1983, their first album Fantastic made it to the number 1 spot in the UK. The album did so well that it produced top 10 singles. Most of the music released after climbed the charts and set the band in motion for stardom.

Eventually, Michael and Ridgeley split up Wham! Michael pursued and built a successful solo career. In his 25 years, he has more than 80 million record sales, release countless number 1 singles, and played at the most historic concerts such as the Nelson Mandela Freedom Concert and the Freddie Mercury Tribute.

Citizen Cope is a songwriter/performer known for his unique music mix of blues, soul, and rock.

Fans love how Citizen Cope’s music across his four albums melt together despair, hope, and love. Eventually, his love for being a DJ influenced him enough to mix hip-hop beats into his music.

Steve Vai

Talented guitarist Steve Vai is a unicorn, meaning his music doesn’t fall into any specific genres.

In Vai’s career, he has grown a huge fan base, had over 15 million records sold, won three Grammy awards, and was nominated for 15 Grammy Awards. He’s toured the globe as both a solo artist and part of a band and created his own record studio which has released over 70 albums by popular musicians.

Stephen Marley

Stephen Marley is the son of the reggae legend Bob Marley.

At the age of 6, Stephen started his music career. He would sing, dance, and play percussion alongside his siblings in the group The Melody Makers. Their father Bob Marley produced the group’s first single “Children Playing in the Streets.”

When Stephen was older, he and his brother Ziggy founded Ghetto Youths International, so they could gain control of their music and help new artists. Over the course of Stephen’s music career, he has won 8 Grammys and has worked with well-known artists.

Known from Bravo’s popular series Below Deck Mediterranean, Captain Sandy is more than what meets the eye.

Her show is coming to Orlando, so get ready for a night of musical talents and storytelling of life before fame to how she got to where she is today. It’s a night of adventure as you board the SS Sandy ship.

Tower of Power

Tower of Power is an R&B band known for their strong horn section.

The band has had multiple lead singers, but the one most known is Lenny Williams who led the band from 1973 to 1974. During that year, their singles “So Very Hard to Go,” “This Time it’s Real,” “What Is Hip,” “Don’t Change Horses,” and “Time Will Tell” all made it onto the Billboard Hot 100.

KEB’ MO’ BAND

Keb Mo is a five-time Grammy Award-winning artist known for his take on modern blues.

From a young age, Mo was inspired by blues and gospel and in his early career, he played the steel drums in a calypso band. Over the years he wrote songs for other artists but still longed to write for himself. In 1996, he created his second album Just Like You which won a Grammy Award. In his 25-year career, Mo has won 5 Grammy Awards, received 12 Grammy nominations, won 14 Blues Foundation Awards, and accepted 6 BMI Awards.
