After a year away from the scene, one of the largest dance music festivals is coming back to Orlando. Yes, the famous Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC)!
The 3-day dance party starts Friday, November 12, and ends late on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Tinker Field. Come out and celebrate EDC’s 10th anniversary in Orlando.
What is EDC
Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) is a global dance music festival featuring big-time artists and insane events and productions.
The festival challenges creativity and pushes the standards of the live entertainment industry. Guests can expect to see mind-blowing performances from the industry’s top talent, carnival-themed rides, intricate stage productions, and innovative art and technology. What makes Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) so unique is it puts all your senses into overdrive. All in all, it is an experience of a lifetime.
The Electric Daisy Carnival started in the 1990s in a warehouse located in Los Angeles and slowly started to make its way around the globe.
The first-ever EDC in Orlando was on May 27 – 28, 2011. The lineup included Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk, Afrojack, Skrillex, and Feed Me. The first day had 12,000 attendees and the next day had 20,000. In 2019, the festival brought in 225,000 fans—a record-breaker for Orlando. From day one EDC was a huge success. Every year since 2011, Orlando continued to host the festival as crowds grew bigger, fans became more loyal, and the event became better. Soon it stretched to a 3-day event. Not much has changed with its location. Tinker Field is where the first festival was held and where it is still held today.
EDC Orlando 2021
EDC is known for its elaborate stages—with this in mind, this year there are six stages.
Love inspires the KineticFIELD. Energy rules the CircuitGROUNDS. Mother Earth channels through the NeonGARDEN. StereoBLOOM stimulates the senses with sounds. Lastly, an antique and punk aesthetic marks the individuality of the Wide Awake Art Car. Since EDC is carnival-themed, there are crazy rides to brave. Every year, guests can take a break from dancing and experience the fun thrills of these rides.
Electric Daisy Carnival Orlando hosts some of the biggest names in the dance music industry. The massive line-up includes:
- AC Slater
- Afrojack B2B R3hab
- Brothers of Funk
- Cash Cash
- Damaged Goods
- Denis Sulta
- The Martinez Brothers
- And so many others!
