Rosen Inn International Orlando Hotel Reviews

See What Others Have Said About Their Stay

If you’re planning a visit to Rosen Inn International on Orlando’s International Drive, we invite you to see us through the eyes of your fellow travelers by reading the hotel reviews below.

This was our second visit to this hotel. Its a inexpensive hotel and the breakfast buffet is comprehensive and caters for many tastes and dietary needs. The general staff are really friendly and helpful particularly Wendy who works in the restaurant. The reception staff could make more of an effort to be a bit more cheerful and welcoming though. The rooms have a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. I liked that the rooms are made up every day with fresh towels as standard. We stayed in LA last autumn for six times the price and had to ask for everything which made us quite uncomfortable. Whilst at the RII we did have a minor issue with the toilet on the first day but it was fixed about thirty minutes after reporting it. I understand things break and we thought the reponse time was reasonable. This hotel may not be the best on International Drive and the rooms may be considered a bit tired but it was clean and comfortable and we think its great for a budget break and would return.

The Rosen Inn is sprawling property with multiple buildings, three pools, two on-site restaurants (one with breakfast and lunch buffets, the other a bar and grill), plus a small convenience store. There's a bathroom building that also contains a small but surprisingly well-equipped workout room between two of the pools, and a children's playground. The pools are all heated. It was nice to be able to swim at the end of January (yeah it's Florida but it can still get chilly). I am VERY surprised to see reviews mentioning old rooms or roaches. Our room was clean and spacious. We had a king bed room in Building F. Bed was comfortable, bathroom immaculate and there were plenty of towels. There's a small safe tucked into one of the bedstands, which is easy to use -- I stashed our laptop and a couple of other valuables in it while we were on our evening out. The breakfast buffet is very reasonably priced and had an ample selection. All the staff we encountered were warm and polite. The location is excellent. That said, it's located right next to a very busy highway, but road noise wasn't intrusive. Lastly, I really don't get when people mention it's a motel, not a hotel. It just doesn't strike me as an issue, the rooms are definitely comparable to any hotel in the same price range in quality and thoughtful amenities. We're actually planning another stay soon -- the location can't be beat when you're visiting the theme parks!

I've never done a review before, but this hotel deserves one. Not one fault with the place. The location is great. Walkable distance to Icon Park. So many different shops around it too - Walgreens across the road McDonald’s next to it. And plenty of other fast food chains. A petrol station. Gift shops, etc. The hotel itself is great, a little shop selling everything you may need, an arcade. Buffet restaurant at a good price. Nice little lounge bar. The grounds are kept very well. The staff are great. The pool areas are lovely - very clean and have towels you can use. Our room is a nice size, with two double beds, fridge, and microwave. A large TV and ice cold aircon.

I've read that people say the rooms are dated but I disagree it's just dark wood fixings. The housekeeping do an amazing job with the room. If you rent a car or drive here it seems to be a 5 min drive from most places. Walmart. Target. Universal. Outlet village. Gatorland is about 15 min drive with entrances and exits on both sides, which makes it very easy to get to driving wise. 24/7 security, not that you need it from my experience. Traveled with an 8- and 11-year-old who loved it here, too. Don’t think I can describe how perfect this place is for the average family.

Enjoyed our stay here at the Rosen Inn International, our second time here too. Easy check-in and even changed our room for a better location for us without any problems at all. Staff very helpful. Rooms are clean and well maintained with a handy fridge and all the useful stuff like…hairdryer, microwave, TV, etc. We stayed in room 1451, which was on the second floor looking out at the car park and part of the pool area. If you are on a budget, then this is the place to stay. McDonald’s, Burger King and the usual gift shops are all a few minutes away on International Drive. Free shuttle bus to Universal Studios, and the I-ride trolley bus was handy too just outside the hotel. The pool area has plenty of sun loungers and beach towels to use, and the pool was lovely to swim in if you needed to cool off from the hot weather. There is also a gym on site which is free. My son used it a few times. The shop downstairs is very expensive, but then that’s nothing new really. We visited Walmart, which was around 10 minutes away by car. Definitely recommend this place to stay if you’re visiting Orlando.

We love this hotel. Started staying here in the 90’s when it was the Quality Inn. Stayed here quite a few times and it’s the only place we would stay in Orlando. It’s in an excellent location on International Drive near Wendy’s, opposite an IHOP, and next door to the world’s biggest McDonald’s. Surrounded by food, places, and shops. Walgreens is a two-minute walk across the road, I-trolley stop outside the hotel, which takes you up and down to all the fabulous shops, malls, bars, and restaurants, also SeaWorld. The hotel is basic but lovely. Rooms are clean, hotel facilities are looked after. Pools lovely, towels available and gated. Staff are friendly in the restaurant, food is buffet-style breakfast, hot and tasty … loved the crispy bacon! On-site shop a little pricey, but Walgreens is over the road. No free transport to Disney, but Lyft was pretty cheap and quick. Universal and SeaWorld are on the I-trolley route or just a few dollars in a Lyft. Would recommend this hotel. We stayed on the ground floor of the two-story building near the pool. Loved it and will be back!

We love it here! Fabulous location for accessing the theme parks, and lots of local attractions. Right next door to the world's biggest McDonald's and also near CiCi’s Pizza, IHOP, Perkins, Walgreens, etc. Staff are always so helpful, welcoming, and friendly. We obviously left a tip for the maids each day, and one of the days we came back to a lovely thank you note from her. The hotel isn't fancy and may look a bit dull and dated to some, but we have never had any issues here. This is our second time staying and we will stay again. Our safe wasn't working and it was replaced within 30 minutes. We requested a room with a specific view, and they delivered! Pool area is fab as is the bar area. Again, staff are lovely and helpful. Laundry room is also a great help! We got what we needed in our room: beds, space for luggage, air conditioning, fridge, microwave, kettle, safe, TV, etc. Ideal for families. My only downside is I wish for families they offered rooms with a double bed and two singles. Clean, comfortable, and has plenty of the required amenities for you to enjoy your trip.

We were a little apprehensive having read some of the reviews but were pleasantly surprised — we stayed for one week in two rooms and were situated on the ground floor near the pool. We used the shuttle service to Universal every day and really couldn't fault the place. We didn't try the food so I can't comment on that. The rooms were cleaned and made up every day. The coffee pods were replenished daily too.

Great value hotel in an ideal location for the Universal Parks and International Drive. We paid just £371 for a week in September 2023. Clean and tidy room, daily housekeeping and free parking also. They also offer a free shuttle service to the Universal Parks. If you are doing Orlando on a budget, I would recommend staying here. Overall, very impressed with the value for money considering when in Orlando, most of the time is spent away from the hotel and in the parks.

We have just returned from a two week stay at the Rosen Inn; it was our 5th time there! We love it; the location, the staff, the amenities, the pool. Overall, such a great place to stay at a budget price! The room was spotless clean and every day, the room staff did a cleaning, left clean towels, etc.! The front desk staff are so helpful. Check in was super fast; I asked for a room by the pool, and we got that! They don’t charge a resort fee either! Overall a fabulous stay and we will be back! Thank you Rosen Inn International.

Having booked this as a package, we weren't expecting much, but this place is fantastic and would be my first choice if I came back to Orlando. The place is clean, tidy, peaceful, and very safe. Traveling as a family, I was worried about noisy rooms and rowdy poolside families, but it's the complete opposite. The reception staff are friendly and efficient, the facilities around the hotel are great, and the maintenance staff are always available 24/7 and fix things instantly if you have any issues. Security staff are constantly walking round keeping an eye on things, and I felt completely safe throughout. Would highly recommend this to anyone, and I'd book this over paying more for a more "trendy" hotel complex.

Stayed at the Rosen for two weeks at the beginning of October. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, although the rooms look old and need an update. Don't let it put you off staying here if the rooms were updated. Probably the price of the holiday would go up. So, all in all had a lovely two-week stay; had everything you needed.

Just returned from a two-week holiday at the Rosen Inn International. The staff were amazing. They bent over backwards to make sure we had a lovely stay. When we arrived, they gave us a room with a walk-in shower as my husband has some mobility problems; it was no bother at all. We ate there every morning and quite a few evenings as we found the food good and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning the next time we go to Disney and would recommend to anyone.

Cannot say enough good things about this place! We so enjoyed our stay and would encourage EVERYONE to stay here if you are going to Disney or Universal. They have a shuttle to Universal. Be sure to make your reservation the day before AND be on time! The buffet was very good. There are so many restaurants within walking distance, you are sure to find something. They have two washers and dryers, so you may have to wait, but everyone we met while waiting was so nice. The kids loved the pool, and we liked all the green space. The drive to Disney was fast and easy. Really great experience.

So, me and the wife-to-be stayed here for a week in mid-November. Good bits: The beds are comfortable, the room is spacious, the grounds are clean, and I found the stay quiet considering how close I-4 and I-Drive is. The hotel shop had everything I needed, including my much-needed morning coffee. And the restaurant kept us well fed. No resort fees and only a $50 security deposit, which you get back. Transportation is right outside. I’d recommend getting passes to save on spending money. Not so good bits: This is a motel, not a hotel, but that wouldn’t put me off from staying again. This place is pet friendly, so if you have allergies, that might be something to think about. The rooms could do with a little updating as our bathroom pan was loose. Overall experience: Pretty decent and pleasant. Well worth it for the money. I’d happily stay again.

Room was cleaned every day, and the cleaners did a great job. It was a little old fashioned, but we were only in it to sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful with any questions. Internet in rooms was OK.

We stayed here from October 9 to 23. We had the most fantastic time. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels, coffee, etc. The housemaids were so friendly. Not so friendly in the shop. Reception could have been more friendly and helpful, but overall, we thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s so close to all amenities, but there are no shuttle buses at all from there, so you either have to drive or set up an Uber account, which can come out quite pricey. But, if you’re looking for a nice hotel with two pools and beautiful grounds, then this is the one. We will definitely go back there.

We have just returned from a two-week stay at the Rosen Inn International and our overall opinion was that for the price we paid, it was ok. Although very dated, it was clean, and the towels were changed every day, and the beds were made. We used it purely as a base, and it suited our purposes. The beds were comfortable, which was very welcomed after a long day of walking around the parks. It is conveniently located near many shops and restaurants, so that is a plus too. We did experience some noise, mainly by inconsiderate guests running something along the railings on the balcony and running up and down, but this only seemed to be when the hotel filled up at the weekend. We did have the breakfast three times (not paid for as we received a voucher as we booked with Virgin). It was ok; nothing to write home about, but not inedible. Overall, we had a good experience, and for the price and convenience to everything, we would probably stay here again.
